James Kesley Richardson

I'm James Kesley Richardson, an Engineer from Houston, Texas currently working at IBM Flash systems. At Flashsystems, I write embedded code in C for the Flash Core Module, a computational storage device which utilizes QLC NAND. In my day to day work as an embedded software engineer, I work very closely with our "hardware" team who writes HDL for the FPGA which accomplishes the hardware acceleration for our flashcard. I also work on several internal projects, ranging from IO Exercisers, to data mining and failure prediction, to automated testing, generally in Python, but also occasionally in BASH, Go or Javascript.

I have several hobbies and interests outside of work. I'm a musician; I play several instruments and write my own music. Also, I'm an avid reader and writer. My father was a history teacher, so perhaps I inherited my fascination with history from him.

You can find many of my stories and songs on this website. If you're interested, follow the links up at the top and they'll shoot you to them.
